Designed with the career-oriented professional in mind, our online classes provide an intimate environment that stimulates engaging and challenging discussions.
Teacher candidates are engaged in the student teaching experience that includes practical classroom experiences, research, analysis, and teaching to support the creation of a Teacher Work Sample (TWS). The core education units comprise the bulk of the course and are taken throughout the four years.
During the internship, you will have the major responsibility for a class, under the supervision of a mentor teacher. So they turned to Filiberto Barajas-Lopez, an education professor at the University of Washington. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) declared that elementary and fundamental education was a right to be enjoyed by all, but again could not define either elementary and fundamental education.
Students must also pass an exit examination (currently PRAXIS II) and the APTTP in order to receive certification. The Secondary Education program is a major in either the College of Arts and Sciences or the College of Social Sciences, Health, and Education combined with a professional education minor that leads to a teaching license.
Provide a letter from their school confirming their enrollment or a copy of the above mentioned Degree. Through a partnership with AustraLearn, UMaine education students are able to take advantage of student-teaching opportunities in Australia and New Zealand.
