The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students and is held annually in a different country. Student research opportunities begin at the undergraduate level with the opportunity to work with a faculty member as part of their capstone experience; and continue through to the MS and PhD levels, where extended research projects frequently lead to journal publication and international trips to study at workshops or to present results at conferences.
