The United States historically had a demand for general skills rather than specific training/apprenticeships. The objectives of this examination are to assess the learner’s knowledge and ability to pursue with further education such as diploma and degree courses; to examine the extent to which the learners can use the skills gained to meet the social, political, economic and technological challenges for the individual and the national development at large.

To be in good academic standing, a student must have completed all EDUC-prefix courses and all essential teaching-field courses, have removed all Incompletes from all courses, and have maintained a 3.00 (ESEC majors) or 2.80 (secondary and P-12 majors) GPA overall and in each teaching field.
Ensure timely appointment, provision of technical support and support supervision to management Boards and Committees of Government owned/aided secondary schools to ensure their effective performance, management and attainment of the Sector objectives and goals.
If the candidate has one K-12 major and one 6-12 major, but prefers the 6-12 major for the internship, the candidate may appeal to student teach in the 6-12 major and must present evidence of field experiences at both the elementary (K-5) and secondary (6-12) levels in the K-12 major subject.
